I want the joining process to be clear because most confusion happens before the game, not during the game. Players want to know which session to join, how much it costs, when to pay, and when their slot is actually confirmed. This guide explains the flow I normally expect players to follow.

Step 1: Look for a suitable game on our website

First, go to the Happy Dinkers game list on our website. The list shows upcoming games by date, with the session title, time, venue, player count, waitlist, and fee where available.

Do not only look at the time. Read the full game title and details carefully. Some games are more beginner-friendly, some are more competitive, and some are designed for a specific format. If you join the wrong type of game, the session may not feel right for you or for the other players.

Step 2: Read the game details

When you tap a game on our website, you will see the game detail page. This page helps you check the important information before you request to join:

• Date and time of the game.
• Venue and location details.
• Player count, capacity, and waitlist status.
• Game fee or pricing information, if provided.
• Confirmed players, when available.
• Joining option through the Reclub app.

Please pay attention to the pricing. Different games may have different fees depending on court cost, duration, venue, format, or tournament structure. If the fee is shown, treat it as part of the joining instructions.

Step 3: Check for Early Bird pricing

Some of our games are on promotion with Early Bird pricing. If you see an Early Bird rate, request to join and, once you are waitlisted, make payment as early as possible. Do not wait until later if you already know you want to play.

For promoted games, players who pay early can enjoy a much cheaper rate than players who join later. The simplest rule is this: make payment as early as possible to enjoy the best pricing available.

Step 4: Install Reclub if you do not have it

Happy Dinkers uses Reclub to manage game requests, player lists, chat, and joining status. If you do not already have the Reclub app, you will need to download and install it before you can properly request to join a game.

On our game detail page, tap Open in Reclub app. If you already have Reclub installed, your phone should open the game in the app. If you do not have it installed, you will be shown options to download Reclub from the App Store or Google Play.

Step 5: Request to join the game

After the game opens in Reclub, request to join the session. In most cases, you will be waitlisted first. For Happy Dinkers games, being waitlisted usually means the host is waiting for you to make payment so your slot can be confirmed.

Our games are generally handled on a first come, first served basis. In certain games, the number of slots is limited, so the players who make payment first will be confirmed first. Once you are waitlisted, please proceed to make payment so your slot can be confirmed.

Step 6: Make payment after you are waitlisted

Once you are waitlisted, you can proceed to make payment according to the instructions in the game. Please do not assume your slot is confirmed just because you requested to join. Payment is part of the confirmation process.

After payment is made, upload your payment receipt in the game’s chat. This part is important. If payment is made but the receipt is not uploaded, it is difficult for the host to verify who has paid and which game the payment belongs to.

Please do not directly message me or other hosts your payment receipt. You are also not advised to WhatsApp us the payment receipt. We host many games every day, so if receipts are sent to us directly, it becomes difficult to determine which game the payment is for.

Step 7: Your joining is confirmed only after payment and receipt upload

For clarity, your joining is confirmed only after two things happen: payment is made and the payment receipt is uploaded in the game’s chat. Both are required.

This keeps the game fair for everyone. It helps us avoid confusion, unpaid reserved spots, and last-minute uncertainty. It also helps me manage the player list properly when a session is full or when there are players waiting for a slot.

Step 8: Keep checking the game and chat

Even after you are confirmed, please still check the Reclub game and chat periodically. Sometimes there may be last-minute changes: court number, start time reminder, venue note, player grouping, partner arrangement, weather or traffic updates, or other instructions from the host.

If you join a DUPR pickleball game, the chat may also be used for match flow, result reminders, or court assignments. A quick check before you leave home can save everyone a lot of confusion.

Types of Happy Dinkers games

We host several types of games, and each one has a slightly different purpose. Read the title and notes before joining so you know what to expect.

1. Rotating partner DUPR games

   In rotating partner DUPR games, players rotate partners during the session. This is useful when players want rated games without needing to bring a fixed partner. It also helps players meet more people and learn how to adapt to different playing styles.
