First Shot Pickleball Sessions with Happy Dinkers

I am Jacky, the founder and host of Happy Dinkers. When I choose venues for our games, I always think about one simple question first: will players enjoy coming back here again and again?
For First Shot Pickleball, the answer is yes. It is one of the venues I like using for weekend and public holiday games because the location is strategic, the courts are comfortable, and the overall feeling is easy for players to settle into.

Where is First Shot Pickleball?
First Shot Pickleball is located at Factory 19, Jalan Professor Khoo Kay Kim, Seksyen 19, Petaling Jaya. It is quite directly opposite Sin Chew Daily and very near PJ Digital Mall. For players around Petaling Jaya, Damansara, KL, Subang, and nearby areas, this is a very strategic location.
That location matters because pickleball sessions are not only about the court. If a venue is too hard to reach, players hesitate. If it is easy to explain, easy to find, and near familiar landmarks, new players feel more confident joining us.
Why we like hosting at First Shot
First Shot Pickleball Petaling Jaya is one of the most popular pickleball venues in Petaling Jaya. It is mildly air-conditioned, which makes the games more comfortable without feeling too cold. For weekend sessions, that helps a lot because players can keep playing without feeling drained too quickly.
The venue has 11 pickleball courts. For us as hosts, that gives us enough flexibility to run proper groups instead of squeezing everyone into one mixed session. When we run DUPR games, we usually use 2 or 3 courts so players with similar DUPR ratings can be grouped and play on the same court.
The washroom is also worth mentioning. It is very tastefully renovated and honestly quite Instagram-ready. If you come here, please remember to visit the washroom. I know that sounds funny in a pickleball article, but it is one of those small details players actually remember.

Parking, food, and the overall experience
Parking is easy, although you do need to pay for it. For me, easy parking is important because it removes stress before the game even starts. Players can arrive, park, change, warm up, and get ready without rushing too much.
There is also a Japanese fusion restaurant called Sora. That is useful because after a good session, players often want to sit down, eat, talk about the games, and continue the social part of the community. A venue with food nearby always feels more complete.
Our Happy Dinkers games at First Shot
We run Happy Dinkers pickleball games at First Shot every Saturday and Sunday, and whenever there is a public holiday. Most of our games here are DUPR games, and occasionally we host social games too.
For our rotating partners DUPR games, I prefer using 2 or 3 courts when possible. This allows us to group players by similar ratings and game level. It makes the games fairer, more competitive, and more enjoyable. Nobody wants to spend the whole session feeling completely overmatched or completely unchallenged.
The rotating format also helps players improve faster. You learn how to play with different partners, handle different styles, and make better decisions under match pressure. That is one reason I like DUPR sessions: they give the game a little structure, but the session can still feel friendly.
Who should join us here?
If you are looking for pickleball games in Petaling Jaya, First Shot is a good venue to join us. It works well for improving players, social players, and competitive players who want organized games with proper grouping.
If you are new to our community, do not worry too much. Read the game details and joining flow, choose the session that fits your level, and come a little earlier so you have time to settle in. We try to make the sessions clear and welcoming, especially for players joining us for the first time.
Why First Shot matters to Happy Dinkers
For Happy Dinkers, First Shot gives us another strong home for weekend and holiday play. 91 Sports Arena is our main venue, but First Shot helps us serve more players in another part of the Klang Valley. It gives the community more options, and that is important as pickleball keeps growing.
At the end of the day, I want our players to have good games, fair rotations, comfortable courts, and a reason to come back. You can always check the latest Happy Dinkers game list for upcoming First Shot sessions. First Shot Pickleball helps us do that.
